| The 6 hectare privately-owned lake at the Trout Farm
is very well stocked with Rainbow Trout at the moment. These fish vary in size from 600gms
up to 1 kg with occassional specimens above 2 kilos being taken. Over the recent school
holidays, more than 100 Rainbow Trout were taken with the largest weighing in at 2.4Kg!!! Most of these trout were caught on Tassie Devils or Bronze Celta lures. These lures are on sale or available for hire from the Trout Farm shop. Fly fishermen are also catered for with a good range of equipment available for hire. Owner, Margaret Crago is also available for some basic casting instruction as well as 'local-knowledge' to help anglers find where the fish are biting in Trout Lake. |
